lovely

The food was fantastic. The staff in the actual restuarants and cleaners and bars were great.The set up and location was lovely.Not too busy . Trips good .

The staff on reception were rude - therefore when we go there we were met by a team who did not seem to like visitors and we were in a negative space thinking what have we booked. It was bazaar as after a few hours and meeting the restuarant teams - bar teams - no other staff were like this - they were lovely. Clearly a culture of the reception as we had further interactions and the mood was the same - unhelpful and basically rude. - they are front of house and actually gave us the wrong impression of who you are. The Booking we made - possibly our fault as we didnt look carefully enough - rooms no balconies - at this cost - i would have laways expected a balcony and in. europe we would not have rooms without baconies unless in a 2 star hotel- again staff rude about this - and they could have helped us as we would have paid more - rooms not always cleaned. Wardrobes did not close and shower hanging off wall - nothing sorted on these issues .

Had a great holiday, very good atmosphere within the days and evenings, friendly bar staff and the offshore private island was a great extra!

Long wait times for to be seated at the restaurants, most nights where a minimum of 45 mins, even when booking restaurants we had a good half hour wait before we were seated. As well as this the towels within our rooms were not replaced once meaning we had to call concierge most evenings to get fresh ones. On one occasion we requested new towels three times yet they were never received.

Very Good

The resort is on the small side, which was perfect for us. The private island is the best part, I highly recommend spending at least one full day out there. All of the food was excellent. Espresso martinis and the piano bar were perfect! Overall a great stay.

The beach at the main resort isn’t great. The restaurants requiring reservations were booked full the whole time we were there. The resort isn’t close to downtown Nassau and we found the public bus system was unreliable on a Saturday.

Great location, good entertainment and lots of food/drink options

Great location with a lovely beach, rooms in the West Bay are newly refurbished and modern. Numerous restaurants to choose from with a decent standard of food. Great drinks. Private beach is lovely and worth a visit. Gordons was probably the best meal we had. Having a butler made a lot of difference - private transfer, they make restaurant reservations, reserve sunbeds etc.

Nothing really, although on our last day our keys stopped working before we checked out, we were given access to a room to shower in that was dubiously clean and the wifi access is cut off after check out even though we had another 7 hours to kill before our transfer to the airport.

Genuine Hospitality Needs To Be Extended To Every Paying Couple

I like how the meals were all included.

Too much miscommunication with information about the resort. I was told there were other restaurants, spas, etc on the other part of the island. We went and there was only one restaurant and no spa, with no other amenities. Very Disappointing. The staff caters heavily to the white population. We were told breakfast was over at 10:30am and we had to take our food to go. When white couples came, the information about breakfast was not given to them. There was suppose to be an orientation, but the front desk staff knew nothing about it. Too much money for the trip for the treatment we received as people of color. A Great Disappointment!!!

service was hit and miss for a well known brand and for the price you pay, unfortunately Sandals haven’t quite got it right on my opinion. most of staff enjoy their work, dancing away to the music played in the resort every day. some staff just dont want to be there

Overall, met expectations, but hotel I think better suited to younger couples (20-35).

Lots of facilities including the best one which is the private hotel island which you pop over to in the hotel boat. There are also three pools, several restaurants - from fancy to street food trucks. Room was good - decent size, comfortable bed. Mini-bar / drinks all included. Food all included.

Once pool is very noisy - ie dance / pop music all day, some days pool parties with bubbles etc. Note - there is a similar sized pool which is "quiet" so I guess the hotel has to cater for younger people as well as older. The only issue was were were in a room next to noisy pool (and music goes until 11pm I think).. We didnt know any it should have been an option. Also hotel is kind of in the middle of nowhere. We walked to nearby casino / hotel resort and it was a good 30 mins walk down the side of the road.

AMAZING

views, beach , staff, venue

check in messed up our room , someone’s bags were there , and they had drank the champagne, used the shower and eaten strawberries left, Brigid happened twice then we we unpacked they moved us into another room, we had booked oceanview with balcony and even after messing up our room so many times no upgrade eand we actually ended up being in a room with no balcony, what we had paid for but room was still beautiful and they sent us up a cake but just not the entrance for our Honeymoon

loads to do. once room was upgraded to the west side. east side was shabby and generally AWFUL. do not stay there. was made to feel special.

Great place with opportunity in staff

The food and beverage are great, beautiful beaches, everything at the hotel is easy to find... Great clean amenities with good shower, air con, comfortable bed... meets the expectations! The asian restaurant is a lot of fun! They also have great pizza. Try the strawberry daiquiri with rum! The manager at the time was really aware and solved our issues. Also, Momo (she is the photographer) was incredible!

Small things that create a gap between expectations vs what you get for a place: - some of the staff is really rude and not polite (like they are polite to meet training and that is all) - rude answers, loud conversations between them disturbing the mood of the restaurant, completing tasks before really attending the customer (removing plates from the table bumping on it and not apologizing, forgetting orders, getting orders wrong, etc) - room service didn’t work well - we called several times until someone answered the phone, asked for something at the menu and they did’t know what it was... and when it arrived, the dip was frozen, so you couldn’t dip anything on it. - laundry: same thing, no one answers the phone, when they did they put me on hold and never got back. We got our clothes in our transfer... In the last day, because of my laundry, I had enough and took it to the manager. He took detailed not of everything, helped with the laundry, provided some nice perks to apologize in behalf of the hotel. He was very professional and caring, having empathy and understanding that those things shouldn’t happen in this kind of hotel. In the end, the incidents happened because of a few people in a bad mood or unfit to do the work of providing quality service to their customers and not because the hotel and its management tolerate that. We had a very good experience and the management team was very aware and provided great attention to our few hick-ups.

Nice vacations

The staff, the restaurants, the private island, the pools.

Few shadows on the beach and staff don't control guests who booked them with towels and don't use them. Beach is not so bigger as photos shows, I believe they are manipuleted. Rooms are bigger and good but perfectly usual for a 5 stars hotels, I was expecting something diferent and more updated.

Quite impressive

The sea and the staff, and the food of Casanova restaurant!

there are not enough umbrellas and sun beds on the beach and they are always occupied before 6.30 am by the butlers. they are often not even used. Smoking is not permitted on the beach but a lot of people do it and nobody of the staff say something. Too much air conditioning!

It’s only a 15 minute drive from the airport. Snorkelling from the island is great. Our butler room swim up pool was nice.

Hotel is tired, no ‘private island’ (shared), food is very basic, overpriced, no coffee options (only instant). Staff range from being super friendly to very rude. Long queues to get drinks

TERRIBLE ...

EVERYTHING ... ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING. We are very seasoned travelers and have stayed at numerous top hotels all over the world. For both of us this was absolutely the worst stay ... ever. In fact, we have stayed even in 4-star hotels where we enjoyed the stay much better than at this Sandals. This hotel cannot possibly be rated 5 starts: this is a complete fraud on travelers. The service is non-existent, the food is terrible: we have been suffering from awful indigestion all the time. One had to wait in line for hours at the only half-decent restaurant, but even there the food was not to the 5-star par. The rooms and hallways smelled of damp and old carpeting. All the facilities are very old and in dire need of refreshment or replacement. For the price we have paid this hotel and our stay in it was a complete joke. The entertainment, including particularly on the New Year's Eve, was pathetic: not to have a small fireworks display was beyond comprehension. We cannot come up with any single thing that we could say we liked about our stay there ... and Booking should seriously reconsider working with such hotels chains, which advertise themselves as 5 star, but in reality provide a 3 star service at best. The difference between our expectation, based on the public advertisement by Sandals, which is borderline fraudulent, and the reality is immeasurable.

Staff were excellent overall Private island - great beach English village rooms were nicely decorated and private.

Main issue was other guests - playing their own music on the beach, flying drones, generally noisey in the day. Lots of big groups for weddings so not the usual Sandals feeling. Food - Small portion size and sometimes served luke warm

Excellent stay - we'll be back

This was our first Sandals experience and we stayed for 10 nights. We had high expectations and it did not disappoint. The staff we're very friendly throughout the resort and always very attentive. Even when the pools were busy the bar staff would still serve drinks to the sun beds and the most we ever waited for a drink at the swim up bar was a couple of minutes. The room was lovely, clean and the bed was very comfortable. The mini-bar was restocked every day with a great selection of drinks. The food selection in the restaurants was good and the quality of the food was much better than we'd hoped. We had butler service included in our room and Denver, Shaun and Zahly were amazing. They organised restaurant bookings, brought us food and drinks, left treats in our room and made the experience that much more relaxing.

The only restaurant we weren't too impressed with was Bacarrat. We went there twice - once for breakfast and once for dinner. Although the food was nice the service was very slow both times. We had to wait aorund 20mins to get a table at breakfast despite half the restaurant being empty due to a slow turnaround on tables. Also, the main pool could have been a little warmer but I'm really nit-picking here as the whole stay was great!
